Householder graduates with honors from Training Command

Navy Airman Apprentice Gregory A. Householder has graduated with honors from the Department of the Navy Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. Airman Apprentice Householder received two awards and was selected to receive the Navy Club of the United State Military Excellence Award.

This award is presented to the recruit whose total performance in recruit training best exemplifies the qualities of enthusiasm, devotion to duty, professional and academic achievement, military appearance and behavior, self-discipline and teamwork.

Householder was a member of the Blue Jacket Choir while in training. The Blue Jacket Choir is part of the performing arts division that participates in each graduate program.

Householder is the son of Jennifer Fogle of Savannah, Ga. And the late Bryan Householder of Rubottom, Okla.

Householder is the grandson of Roy and Kathy Householder of Burneyville, Okla. And Tom and Bettie Quattlebaum of Savannah, Ga.

His brother is Aaron Householder who lives in Savannah, Ga. with his mother.

Householder attended elementary school and junior high in the Turner School district and the Gainesville school district and high school in the Denton school district before graduating from Turner High School in May 2009.
