Lee Elementary School winners included fourth grader Colby Brasher who won first place. Fourth grader Lily Kemp took fourth place and fifth grader Tabitha Roy finished in third place. Colby was the top speller among 23 contenders spelling the word, “exception.” Colby, Lily and Tabitha are pictured in the photo on the right. Chalmers Elementary School will hold its campus bee at 1 p.m. today for second grade students and at 1 p.m., Friday for third graders. The top GISD speller will participate in the Cooke County spelling bee set for 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 13 at the central administration building.
