Cooke County Historical Commission member Ron Melugin, left, wore a “Field of Dreams” shirt during Tuesday’s Gainesville City Council meeting in support of retaining the city’s historic Locke Field near Interstate 35. But the baseball facility, now decades established in Gainesville, is set to disappear during 2013, following a decision by council members to use the field’s Fair Park for commercial use.
