State TAHV officers visit NTMC

The North Texas Medical Center (NTMC) Auxiliary played host to a group of officers representing the Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Officers visiting were President Pat Neatherlin of Tyler, President-Elect Melva Harris of Spring and First Vice President Sherry Simmons of Denison.

State officers annually travel to various hospitals throughout the state of Texas and this was the first time the group had visited Gainesville since the hospital auxiliary hosted a district meeting here in 1991.

The special guests were greeted by NTMC Auxiliary Executive Officers and given a tour of the hospital.

Following the tour, a reception was held in the hospital board room where all enjoyed refreshments and a time of visiting and sharing ideas and better ways to serve as volunteers.

Each officer was given a gift bag on behalf of the Auxiliary and wished well on their future journeys.
