Mr. Joe O'Dell of Lindsay and Ms. JoDee Lorang-O'Dell of University Park are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Karah Jo O'Dell, to Justin Lee Schmitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Schmitz of Gainesville.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Lorang of University Park, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank O'Dell of Lake Kiowa. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hamer, and the late Mrs. Doris Hamer of Gainesville; and Mr. and Mrs. Freddy Schmitz of Gainesville.
The bride is a graduate of Lindsay High School. She received her Bachelor of Business degree and MBA from Texas Tech University. Karah was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She is a Product Manager at MetroPCS in Richardson, TX.
The groom is a graduate of Gainesville High School and received his Bachelor of Business degree from the University of North Texas. He is employed by Schmitz Coin Machine in Gainesville.
The couple plans to wed on January 30, 2010 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
