Gary and Debbie Cox of Gainesville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Denise Cox, to Matthew Keith Porter, son of Keith and Renee Porter of Athens.
Lauren is a 2005 graduate of Gainesville High School and is currently pursuing a degree in recreational therapy. She is employed at the Pointe Assisted Living in Cedar Park.
Matt is a 2005 graduate of Sherman High School and will graduate from Austin Graduate School of Theology in December. He is currently employed by Pond Springs Church of Christ in Austin.
The couple plans to wed Nov. 14 in Ellen’s Prayer Garden at Park Ave. Church of Christ in Denison and make their home in Cedar Park.
