Brittany Nicole Odom of Valley View and Jason Andrew Newton of Dallas announce their engagement.
The couple plan to wed Jan. 9 at Calvary Baptist Church in Arlington with Ed Gatlin officiating.
Brittany is the daughter of Joe and Sheila Odom of Valley View.
Her grandparents are Cliffo and Gayle Odom of Callisburg, Katherine Bush of Denton and the late James Bush and Jolene (Carlton) Odom.
Brittany is the great-granddaughter of Laura Carlton.
She is a 2004 graduate of Krum High School and a 2007 graduate of Tarleton State University. She is employed in the registrar’s office at the University of North Texas.
Jason is the son of Brent and Pennie Newton of Bangs.
A.J. and Coleta Newton of Bangs and Roy and Mary Johnson of Brownwood.
He graduated from Bangs High School in 2002 and is a 2007 graduate of Tarleton State University. Jason is 2009 graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch. He is employed as a physician assistant at Texas Orthopedic Surgical Associates of Dallas.
After their wedding, the couple plan to live in Dallas.
