Book Club reviews "Prayers For Sale"

The Book Club met on Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Muenster State Bank hospitality room.

The meeting was called to order by vice president Pamla Hildebrand and Bette Cheaney led the Pledge of Alliagance. She then read a poem and led the group in prayer.

There were 19 members present and 8 absent.

Hostesses were Jean Burrus, Mary Lou Leftwich and Barbara Pybus. The tables were decorated in a fall theme.

Following a buffet lunch, Mary Lou Leftwich introduced Petty Padgham, who reviewed the book, “Prayers for Sale.”

The setting of the book is early Colorado in the town of Middle Swan.

The review was concentrated on two characters, Hennie Comfort and Nit Spinale and their long-standing love story.

Following the review a business meeting was held.

It was announced that the next meeting will be at the home of Lina Wilson on December 3. The meeting was adjourned.
