They were very impressed with the variety & techniques of art work. Gerri suggested for next year that we hang the paintings by wire or some way to make it easier to assemble work. John Hunt reported on the Arts Council meeting which is planning a fund raiser in Feb. They want GAVA to have a sale & an art show.

Deb McGowan gave a report on the Jr. GAVA Club. Jo Ann made a motion to accept the club; it was voted on & passed by members.

in Abry which is an art studio & gallery for artist in the area.

Linka has works in every media except oils. She now works mostly with Acrylics, modeling paste, ink, charcole, & paper Collage'. There is a lot of texture in her paintings & she has a long process that she goes thorugh before the finished product. She usually draws a figure over the textured surface. The surface has a lot of color, texture, glued paper, & symbols. She paints her Acrylic on the dried textured surface without any special idea & then sprays with water to make paint run over the surface. She told members you could not fail with this method.

Linka also was our workshop teacher for Sat. 24th. All who attended had a great time & learned many new ideas. & techniques

The meeting was adjorned. The next meeting will be the third wk. Nov.19th. because of Thankgiving.
