No time to bake?
The women of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church have the answer.
The group is planning to hold a Cookie Wonderland from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 19 at the church at 411 E. California St. in Gainesville.
The sale will feature dozens of homemade cookies and Nativity scenes from private collections.
Guests can choose their own cookies, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to VISTO (Volunteers in Service to Others).
Last year, volunteers baked up a variety of cookies including delicate iced sugar cookies, chocolate-covered bar cookies and butter cookies pretty enough to serve as the center piece of a desert table at a holiday celebration.
The cookie sale is the only fund raiser for the St. Paul women, said member Dottie Jarvis.
Cookies are $10 a bag and some church members say buying beats baking every time.
