The Whaley Drive home of Terry and Linda Schertz is as hauntingly festive on the inside as it is on the outside.
Linda Schertz said it takes approximately three weeks to decorate her home and yard for Halloween.
The family’s autumn decor includes a pumpkin patch, a life size talking butler, ravens, skeletons, cauldrons, a cemetery, a ghostly carriage with a spectral driver and plenty of spotlights to illuminate the spooky scene for nighttime passersby.
Schertz said her holiday designs are well known in the neighborhood and noted it isn’t unusual for parents to stop to take photos of their chidren beside her elaborate pumpkin patch. Terry and Linda Schertz have lived in their home for six years and say show-stopping seasonal decorations are a tradition for them.
When Halloween is over, Linda said it will be time to start preparing for Christmas.
