VALEY VIEW — Valley View High School sophomore, Austin Grant, will attend the Business Professionals of America (BPA) 2013 National Leadership Conference, “Uncover Your Magic,” in Orlando, Fla. May 8-12.
He will join over 5,000 other conference delegates from across the nation to participate in national level business skills competitions, workshops, general sessions, and the national officer candidate campaigns and elections. Besides having the opportunity to excel, he will experience the city of Orlando, Fla.
“The conference will be the culmination of a school year’s worth of business education and training which members of the Valley View High School chapter of Business Professionals of America have received,” said chapter advisor, Barbara Westbrook, who teaches Business and Technology courses.
Austin recently placed third at the Texas BPA State Leadership Conference in his event, Entrepreneurship, in which he developed a business plan and presented it to a panel of judges.
He will now take his project to the national level.
