'Breakfast with the Bunny' set for Saturday

Gainesville — “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Zoo Eggstravaganza”  is a tradition which brings children and adults together for an Easter experience at Frank Buck Zoo in Leonard Park.

This year’s “Breakfast with the Bunny” is set for Saturday, March 23.

The Easter egg hunt begins at 9 a.m. sharp in the zoo.

“The park grounds are beautiful, the animals are ready for visitors and the Easter Bunny is looking forward to meeting and greeting visitors to the park,” said zoo staff member Crystal Salisbury, “Come rain or shine we are ready.”

Salisbury added that tickets for the event must be purchased in advance through online registration at “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” or by pre-paying at the zoo gift shop before 5 p.m. Friday.

Admission is $8 per person and includes zoo admission, the egg hunt and the IHOP breakfast served under the covered park pavilion.

Age categories for the egg hunt are 12 months-3 years old, 4-6 years old, 7-9 years old and 10 and older.

Children should bring their own Easter baskets.

The IHOP Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be served immediately after the egg hunt in the park pavilion area. Participants will receive wrist bands so that they can spend the day in the zoo area.
