Letter to the Editor

To the Editor:

Christmas comes early to Gainesville. It is so nice to drive down the streets and see the green trash cans setting in front of our homes or left in the street for days. I thought we were to keep our city beautiful, but it is beginning to look like the ghettos.

I cannot see how the city is going to save money, when the trucks have to go up and down each street. I’m sure the trucks cost thousands of dollars.

When we had the old way one truck could pick up the trash one way. I think someone sold the city council a snow job, plus putting men out of work.

Be sure and smile as you drive the streets and see all the green cans and to know our city is saving money.
