Lake Kiowa Rally for the Cure will proudly present “A Night at the Improv” Saturday, August 14, 2010 7 p.m.
“A Night at the Improv,” stars comedians Mark Fickert and John Rainone and is guaranteed to bring the house down at the Lake Kiowa Lodge.
The Rally Committee has been working with Tamara Broyles from Butterfield Stage to plan this next event to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Fickert and Rainone are both members of a long running local Dallas area comedy troupe of actors and have made more than 500 appearances in Dallas area venues such as the Improv Comedy Club and the Pocket Sandwich Theater, in addition to restaurants, private parties and the State Fair of Texas.
They will be presenting their unique brand of “G”-rated sketch and improvisational comedy for the public at the Lake Kiowa Lodge where they will perform a combination of sketches, stand-up acts, song parodies and audience participation improvs that are sure to please.
The Rally Committee hopes residents of Gainesville and surrounding areas will attend. Tickets are $20 and will be available from any board member, the Lodge, the POA office, J.B. Cole, First State Bank, (Kiowa branch and Gainesville branch) and also at the new Home Town Pharmacy in Gainesville.
There will be enough tickets for everyone, so plan on bringing some friends to share lots of laughs as we help to find the cure for breast cancer.
Those coming from outside Kiowa will be admitted through the front gate upon presenting a ticket to the guard.
