Cooke County —
The three-county region served by North Central Texas College will be the target of the largest health care industry employer outreach and workforce survey ever undertaken in the area. Denton, Montague, and Cooke County health services businesses will begin receiving calls starting March 1 and are being asked to participate in a labor market survey that takes less than ten minutes to complete.
“This outreach to our employers is critical for the success of our programs and our graduating students. NCTC continually reaches out to businesses to understand their employment needs. We strive to assist our communities by identifying employers willing to hire our graduates,” said Angela Sharp, MATRIX Grant Manager at NCTC.
Businesses can preview the survey questions and set up appointments online for taking the telephone survey. The web address is http://usworks.com/nctcSurveyInfo/
Answers provided by local businesses will help identify current and projected job openings. ERISS Corp. of San Diego, Calif., (www.eriss.com) will conduct the detailed telephone surveys of regional employers.
The firm specializes in job/labor market surveys and interactive Web applications.
Approximately 800 businesses in three Texas counties will be contacted over a three-monthperiod.
This project comes to NCTC through the Department of Labor, MATRIX Grant, which has to-date assisted 1,500 students in completing training programs geared towards healthcare occupations.
