First Baptist Church

Benefit concert for Boys and Girls Clubs

A benefit concert for the Boys and Girls Club of Cooke County will be held here this Friday evening, February 22 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary here at First Baptist Church. This concert will help offset the cost of the after school program at the club. While at the club the children receive homework help, self-reliance classes, social skills, learn healthy habits and receive a healthy meal nightly.

The concert is by John Dill, organist of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco and Gainesville native and Jason Webb, trumpeter at Stonebriar Church. There is no cost at the door, but you will have a chance to make donations for this very worthy cause. You won't want to miss it.

Worship opportunities

We have many opportunities for worship here each week at First Baptist Church. On Sunday mornings two worship services are offered. A modern service is held at 8:30 a.m. and our classic service begins at 10:50 a.m. On Sunday evenings worship is at 6 p.m. We are currently studying the book of Ezra- Rebuilt from Ruin during this time. Wednesday evenings offer another great time for Bible study at 6:00 p.m. We would love to have you join us.
