Register recognizes outstanding employees

By PAMELA ROBINSON

The Gainesville Daily Register recognized Delania Trigg and Katie Orsburn for their outstanding service for 2008. The recognition took place at an employee meeting Dec. 31.

Trigg has been a Reporter for the Register since May 2006. “This is the thing I have wanted to do all my life,” said Trigg. “This is what I am best suited for.”

At the Register, Trigg also edits the Agriculture Page and updates the Gainesville Daily Register’s web-site.

“ Delania is a true news-hound and embraces the community,” said Gainesville Daily Register Publisher Armand Nardi.

“Delania really enjoys looking for the best in everything,” said Nardi.

Trigg was born in Muenster and raised in Rosston. Trigg graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English.

Orsburn has been an Assistant Cashier with the Register since Dec. 2007. She also works with the Editorial Department and inputs information for the newspaper.

“I really like working here at the Register,” said Orsburn, “there is never a dull moment.”

“”Katie is a very hard worker, with a huge attention to detail,” said Nardi. “She is always willing to take on additional work and is a real asset to our company.”

Orsburn has lived in Gainesville 21 years. She was born in Sherman, but grew up in Gainesville and graduated from Callisburg High School in 2000.

Most of her family lives here in Gainesville.

The Register decided to revive the Employee of the Month award and from here on out, will recognize an employee each month. Employees of the Month receive a giftcard and a certificate.
