Democrats rally scheduled

On June 17 from 4-7 p.m. at the City of Lindsay Municipal Park, at 800 N. Pecan, the Cooke County Democratic Club is scheduled to host its annual “Beans and Jeans” Campaign Rally.
Candidates confirmed to appear are; Chris Bell, candidate for Governor, Maria L. Alvarado, candidate for Lt. Governor, Hank Gilbert, candidate for Agricultural Commissioner, Fred Head, candidate for Comptroller, Valinda Hathcox, candidate for Land Commissioner, Dale Henry, candidate for Railroad Commissioner, Tim Barnwell, candidate for US Congress 26th District, John McLeod, candidate for State Representative District 64, Cooke County Comm. Pct. 4 Virgil Hess, Cooke County Treasurer Judy Hunter and Nathan Hansard, candidate for Pct 2 Cooke County Commissioner. Chris Bell will be the first speaker at 4:00 PM as he has an engagement in South Texas following the Rally. The Master of Ceremonies will be former Attorney General Jim Mattox.
There will be food, cold drinks, music and of course political speeches. There is playground equipment for the kids and lots of big shade trees. There will be a raffle for a Remington 12 gauge shotgun and an overnight stay at the Elm Creek Manor luxury bed and breakfast & resort, located North of Muenster, Texas.
