Obituaries — Dec. 4, 2006

RANDALL DEWAYNE COKER

Services for Randall Dewayne Coker, 62, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Carlock officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Coker died Dec. 3, 2006, at Renaissance Care Center.

He was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Seminole, Texas, to J.R. and Opal Coker. On Nov. 23, 1963, he married Lillian Lou Cox in Tatum, N.M. Mr. Coker resided in New Mexico and Texas and was employed in the oil fields in construction. He then moved to Gainesville where he was employed as a Dairy Queen Manager; and then worked at Weber Aircraft for many years. He was then employed at Peterbilt until a disability caused retirement in 1991.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Richard Carlock; son, Dane Coker; Marie Massey and Krissa Coker; grandchildren, Robbie Carlock, Ashley Carlock, Lexie Coker, Trever Coker and Baylee Mayes; sister, Gaylia Olivas of Midland, nephew, Mike Barnett, who was really his brother in heart and soul; sisters, Shirley Barnett of Seminole and Joyce Crow of Midland; brother, Sonny Blakeley of Washington State; brother-in-law, Mike Cox; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Coker on June 13, 1999; by his parents; and his second mother, Mary Coker.

Pallbearers are Robbie Carlock, Manuel Olivas, Tony Olivas, Nathan Smith, Wayne Smith, Carlos Aguilar, Terry Adkins, and Dale Wallace.

Visitation will be at the Bible Baptist Church from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to American Home Hospice or to the Bible Baptist Church.

Services for Letha Ann (Heath) Spencer, 92-year-old homemaker, who passed from this earth on December 1, 2006, at Pecan Tree Nursing Center in Gainesville, are set for 2 p.m. today, December 4 at Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Mr. Ronnie Quaid, minister of Commerce Street Church of Christ, assisted by Mr. Percy Parrish, Church of Christ minister. Pallbearers will be Walter Vincent, Bill Puckett, Art Anglin, Jim Turman, Bill Insel and Jack Borden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

    More arrests from a prostitution and human trafficking, surveillance operation were made in Denton County on July 17, a week after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcements (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested 9 for prostitution in Gainesville on July 10 and July 11.
