The suspects believed responsible for two robberies this week in Lake Kiowa and Aubry have been apprehended. The two female suspects were taken into custody after they robbed the Teacher’s Credit Union in Aubry about 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
Sherriff Mike Compton said that a white female took the money from the Teacher’s Credit Union and a second black female drove the get-away car.
Compton said that from information gathered, an unidentified Denton constable stopped the car after it left the scene and both suspects were taken into custody.
The women were identified as Cynthia May Garcia, a 29 year old white female, residing in Gainesville.
The driver of the get-away car was identified as Frances Denise Anderson, a 38 year old black female, residing in Gainesville.
All of the money taken from the credit union was recovered from the women.
After she was taken into custody, Cynthia May Garcia was also identified as the lone female suspect in the (Store) Lake Kiowa robbery which on Tuesday, Dec. 2 about 7:30 p.m.
A consensual search of Garcia’s residence recovered some of the money from the Lake Kiowa robbery. The exact amount taken during this robbery is not known at this time.
The case has been investigated by Greg Taylor of the Cooke County Sheriff’s Office and Tracy Murphrey, a Texas Ranger.
