Thackerville, Okla. — A 17-year-old male is alleged to have assaulted an 18-year-old female with a knife yesterday on Thackerville school grounds. According to KXII, the incident happened around 3 p.m. and the victim was cut once. She is expected to make a full recovery, but school officials declined to comment on what the circumstances were that caused the incident. Police aren’t sure what the relationship between the students is exactly, but sources say the two had known each other for a while. KXII reports the male was taken to a juvenile detention facility, and that it’s not clear what charges he will face at this time. Monday was students’ first day back at school in Thackerville. Police continue to investigate.
