By CATHY MOUNCE, Register Staff Writer

Gainesville — Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and Abigail’s Arms has arranged a Sweetheart Shoppe for the last minute shopper.

The Landmark Conference Center at 1112 E California St. will be the location for vendors and artists to showcase their products for Valentine’s Day. The public is invited to stop by and find a special something for their sweetheart. The Shoppe will be open from 11-3 p.m. Feb12 and 4-8p.m. Feb13

Jewelry, spa gift certificates, candles, coffees and teas, cards, candy, handmade soaps and chocolate covered strawberries are some of the gifts that will be offered for sale.

This is the first year that Abigail’s Arms has sponsored the Sweetheart Shoppe. The project was created and put together by Kelly Fiore-Watson and Kathi Kirby of Abigail’s Arms.

“The Shoppe is an avenue for buyers, especially men, to come in and find that wonderful gift for their sweetheart,” said Kirby.  “We make it easy for them to find a special gift and card. We even provide gift wrapping. They shouldn’t have an excuse now.”

Jewelry vendor Rhonda Beam added, “Of course it will be a great place to buy a special gift for mothers, friends or any special person in your life.”

There are four to five tables still available to rent for a non-refundable $5 fee. Tables and chairs are provided but each vendor is responsible for table decorations.

Ten percent of the proceeds will benefit the Abigail’s Arms Shelter Project.

For more information on table rental and details contact Kathi Kirby at 940-665-2873 or kkirby@abigailsarms.org.

“When you buy a gift of love for your sweetheart or special someone at the Shoppe, you are also giving a gift of love for others through Abigail’s Arms,” Kirby said.
