Gainesville —
Members of the Gainesville High School music department are set to sponsor a school and community talent show. Anyone who attends a school in the Gainesville Independent School District or belongs to a local talent group may enter.
Funds raised will go to the high school’s music department and will directly benefit the students.
Show dates are 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, and Friday, Oct. 26, at the Gainesville ISD auditorium.
Auditions are set for 4 to 6 p.m. today in the same auditorium, and dress rehearsal is set for Monday, Oct. 22 (for the Oct. 25 performance) and Tuesday, Oct. 23 (for the Oct. 26 performance)
Contest requirements:
• All acts must fill out an application and pay a $10 entry fee.
• Applications are available at the Gainesville High School front office.
• Tickets will be sold at the door and everyone who has a ticket will be able to vote for their favorite performance.
• Winners will perform during a future football game or pep rally.
