The American Quarter Horse Cauzin Trouble earned the world championship in two-year-old mares at the 2012 FedEx Open American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show on Friday, Nov. 16 in Oklahoma City. The world champion was bred by Terry Bradshaw of Thackerville, Okla.
Cauzin Trouble is owned by Steve and Kathy Headley of Bloomington, Indiana. The 2010 chestnut mare, sired by CK Kid and out of Consent To Arms, was shown by Ross Roark of Monahans.
In the two-year-old mares class, 23 entries competed for world champion honors and a purse of $12,586.52. World champions received a prize package that included a custom-designed gold trophy, Montana Silversmiths buckle, specially designed logoed jacket, courtesy of Cripple Creek Outerwear, a WeatherBeeta embroidered blanket, neck wreath, a medallion and 100 pounds of Nutrena feed.
The AQHA World Show is the pinnacle event for American Quarter Horse owners and exhibitors around the world, who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to compete in each of the classes representing halter, English and western disciplines. More than 3,590 entries from the United States, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, Mexico, United Kingdom and the Netherlands competed at this year’s event, at the State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.
