Gainesville —
A Gainesville man is missing and local authorities and family members are asking for the public's help to locate him.
Eddy Ball, Jr. has been missing since Aug. 13.
According to a press release sent out by the Gainesville Police Department, Ball was last seen leaving his residence in his 2000 blue Dodge Durango around 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13 and stated he was “just going out for a little while.” He never returned home and has not contacted any family member since that day.
Family members say it is out of character for Ball to not to call or check in.
The Gainesville Police Department has classified the case as an “endangered missing adult.” Ball is described as a 50-year-old white man with black hair and hazel eyes, 6’3” and 225 pounds.
His blue Dodge Durango SUV has the Texas license plate BZ5N089.
Family members say Ball has many friends in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma and works in the oil fields near Decatur.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ball is asked to call the Gainesville Police at (940) 668-7777 or their Crime Tips Hotline at (940) 612-0000.
