Five students hurt in motor vehicle crash

Muenster — A group of five high school students from Muenster were seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash around 7 p.m. Sunday night on County Road 428.

The students were westbound in a 1998 Ford passenger car which went air borne as it topped a hill, Texas Department of Public Safety public information officer Mark Tackett said in an email Monday morning.

Tackett noted the car rolled at least five times after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Two passengers were ejected from the car.

“All five female passengers were transported to local and metroplex hospitals listed from serious to critical conditions,” Tackett said.

He said he believes the victims injuries are all “non-life threatening.”
