Support group helps fire departments

— Cooke County Fire Support & Rehab team recently donated some equipment to local volunteer fire departments.

Moss Lake VFD recieved two ball shutoff valves, two  48-inch Mcleod Tools, one Spanner wrench, six PVC 10-inch suction hoses, one Litebox rechargeable flashlight and ten attack lite polyester fire hoses. In addition to helping Moss Lake VFD, the organization donated several items to other VFDs in 2012.

Donations include Callisburg VFD and Northshore VFD — two electrical reels and two kochek spanners and wrench holders; Lake Kiowa VFD — two medical bags, rotary light bar, two nozzles for the brush truck and Valley View VFD — signal bar light, front and back LED lights, and two dual range nozzles and handles. To help continue its assistance to hard-working volunteer fire departments the fire support and rehab team is planning its annual auction set for March 23. The auction helps the group purchase rehabilitation supplies and provides financial support for local fire departments.
