Burns will be the guest artist at the fall concert of the NCTC Jazz Band, which will also include a performance by the GHS Jazz Band. Tonight’s concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door and are $10 for adults, $5 for youth and free for NCTC students.

Crash causes delay on I-35
An overturned semi-truck at the 501 marker on southbound I-35 caused traffic to stall from Oklahoma into Texas for approximately three hours Tuesday night.

Texas unemployment rate lowest since Nov. 2008
Texas’ seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 5.7 percent in January, the lowest since November 2008. It was down from 6.0 percent in December 2013, and remained below the nation’s January unemployment rate of 6.6 percent.
