LAKE WORTH — Gainesville passed its final non-district test with a sweep of Lake Worth 25-16, 25-9, 25-18 on the road Tuesday.
Whitneigh Duffie had six kills to lead the Lady Leopards (26-6). Kiarah Manuel had four kills and Sarah Gerken had 19 assists.
Gainesville will open District 9-3A play at home 5 p.m. Friday against Bridgeport.
Lindsay goes to 4-0 in district
Lindsay remained undefeated in district play with a 25-10, 25-16, 25-1 win over Gold-Burg.
Tara Atkins had 14 aces and 27 assists to pace the Lady Knights (19-8, 4-0). Nicole Fleitman had nine kills, Jalyn Anderle had 18 kills and Kim Page had two kills.
Lindsay will host Chico at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Whitesboro sweeps Whitewright
Whitesboro made short work of Whitewright with a 25-18, 25-18, 25-18 win.
Katelyn Labhart had 11 kills and 15 digs for Whitesboro (10-14, 2-2). Tori Flanagan had three kills and Sadie Pierson had two kills and three blocks.
Whitesboro will host Howe at 10 a.m. Saturday.
