VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Lindsay tops Valley View, sweep streak goes to 10

LINDSAY — Lindsay stayed perfect in district play with yet another sweep on Tuesday.

The Lady Knights completed their 10th consecutive sweep - all coming in District 11-1A play - as they rolled past Valley View 25-6, 25-12, 25-8 on the road.

Lindsay (25-8, 10-0) has yet to lose a set in league play, sweeping all 10 games.

Nicole Fleitman had 16 kills and nine digs for the Lady Knights. Tara Atkins had 30 assists and 12 aces while Jalyn Anderle had 13 kills.

Lindsay will travel to Gold-burg at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Bridgeport outlasts Gainesville

Gainesville dropped its second District 9-3A match of the season with a 21-25, 23-25, 25-13, 25-23, 10-15 loss to Bridgeport.

Kiarah Manuel had 13 kills for the Lady Leopards (29-8, 3-2). Brittany Royal had four blocks and five kills.

Gainesville will host Decatur at 5 p.m. Friday prior to the football game.

Callisburg edges Tom Bean

Amberly Colwell had 11 kills as Class 2A No. 15 state-ranked Callisburg topped Tom Bean 25-18, 22-25, 25-13, 26-24.

Reanna Walker added 18 digs for Callisburg (26-7, 10-0). Brandy Carr had four blocks and Sesalie Satterwhite had 28 assists.

Whitesboro tops S&S Consolidated

Katelyn Labhart had 17 kills and 19 digs for Whitesboro in a 24-26, 25-14, 25-16, 25-16 win over S&S Consolidated.

Tori Flanagan chipped in 11 kills for Whitesboro (14-16, 6-4). Kylin Lemons had five kills and five aces while Kristen Phelps had five kills.

Whitesboro will travel to play Whitewright at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
