FOOTBALL: Caliisburg rains on Paradise

CALLISBURG — Rheyce Childress ran for 141 yards and a touchdown as Callisburg rolled past Paradise 44-18 on Friday.

Childress also completed two passes for 67 yards and another score while collecting a tackle for a safety to pace the Wildcats to a District 5-2A Division I win.

Childress found Dusty Taylor open for a 25-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. Childress would score midway through the fourth quarter on a 28-yard touchdown scamper.

Clay McKenzie ran for 116 yards on 11 carries for the Wildcats (7-1, 3-1), who will travel to play Whitesboro next week.

Callisburg running back Dakota Tinney had 85 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown. He found the end zone from 10 yards out to put the Wildcats up 14-0 early in the game.

Kyle Rochell caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from McKenzie for his only reception of the game.

Jacob Barton added a touchdown run on his only touch of the game as well.
