Forney — This past weekend the Texas Blast 12U softball team from Gainesville competed in the “Beat the Heat” tournament in Forney and finished in third place.
This was a one-day tournament with the girls playing seven games in one day and not finishing up until almost midnight. The team includes Kelsey Williams, Emily Dishman, Amanda Aldredge, Mary Gerken and Ashlynn Scott, Maddie Green, Becca Adkins, Kinzie Sconce, BreAnna Vogelsong, Hannah Dutton and Jourdan Buddy. The team is coached by Jeff Gerken, Will Dutton and Keith Williams.
