Class A boy results from regional meet

Palestine — The Lindsay Knights finished third at the regional meet in

Palestine Friday and Saturday while Valley View captured tenth. The

Muenster Hornets placed 15th. Lindsay finished with 40 points, while

Valley View tallied 26 and Muenster picked up 20. The top two

finishers in each event advance to the state meet in Austin May 11-12.

Lindsay will be sending two athletes to the state meet. Jace Wann

advanced in the pole vault after finishing in first place. Wann

finished with a high vault of 13-0. Lindsay’s John Price also advanced

in the 3200 meter run with a second place finish and a time of 12:18.

Lindsay’s Blake Walker finished fifth in the 100 meter dash with a

time of 11.83. Drew Cooney picked up third in the 200 meter run with a

time 22.82. Dawson Holt placed seventh in the 110 hurdles for the

Knights.

Muenster’s Dalton Koelzer will move on after a second place finish in

the 110 hurdles. Koelzer finished with a time of 15.27. Koelzer also

finished third in the 300 meter hurdles and the long jump.

Valley View’s Gonzalo Dominguez took third in the 3200 meter run with

a time of 10:23. Hunter Barnes also of Valley View placed fifth with

time of 10:37. Valley View’s Landon Boaz and Sylar Sparkman placed

fifth and sixth in the 300 meter hurdles. Boaz also captured sixth in

the long jump.
