FOOTBALL: Dangerfield outlasts Callisburg 21-21

MESQUITE —

Clay McKenzie ran for 121 yards and a touchdown but it wouldn’t be enough as Callisburg would fall to Dangerfield 32-21 on Friday.

McKenzie scored the first touchdown of the game on a 1-yard plunge into the end zone but it would be all Dangerfield from there.

Dangerfield (9-3) will play Winnsboro on Friday at Tyler’s Rose Stadium in the regional round.

Dakota Tinney had 32 yards rushing and a touchdown for Callisburg. Kyle Rochell caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from Rheyce Childress as well.
