BASEBALL: Lindsay beats Muenster 4-2

MUENSTER — Call it a bit of revenge.

Lindsay got its redemption from an earlier loss to rival Muenster with a 4-2 win in a District 15-1A contest in Muenster on Tuesday.

The Knights fell to 14-1 in an error filled performace that got away from them in their first meeting with Muenster earlier this season.

This time, the Knights (13-6, 5-2) had the bats going early, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. Cade Hess had two RBIs in the inning.

Dylan Hughes would make it 4-0 in favor of the Knights with a solo home run in the third inning. Muenster would add two runs in the sixth inning.

John Haverkamp got the win for Lindsay, striking out nine batters in the contest.

Trevor DeBord went 1 for 4 for Lindsay with a double. Haverkamp added a run, as did Garrett Cooper.

Lindsay will host Savoy at 6 p.m. Friday.
