CALLISBURG —
Clay McKenzie rushed for 216 yards and four touchdowns as Callisburg
won a wild one over Boyd 48-46.
McKenzie scored on runs of 11, 20, 23 and 3 - the fourth of which the most important as the Wildcats (6-1, 1-1) edged the Yellow Jackets.
The Wildcats scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to give themselves a 48-34 lead in the fourth quarter.
Callisburg was able to withstand a furious comeback that saw Boyd score two touchdowns in the last two minutes of the game to hang on for the two-point win.
Dakota Tinney carried the ball 28 times for 135 yards and a tochdown for Callisburg. Rheyce Childress had four carries for 82 yards and a score as well.
Callisburg will travel to play Ponder at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Muenster rolls past Electra
Muenster jumped out to a 51-0 led by halftime and never looked back as the Hornets topped Electra 58-0 in the Hornets District 8-1A Division II opener.
Muenster will travel to play Perrin-Whitt at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Lindsay silences Trenton
Lindsay rolled in its District 7-1A Division I opener with a 56-0 win over Trenton.
Blake Walker had touchdown runs of 65 and 78 yards in the win for Lindsay. Mark Krahl added three rushing touchdowns.
Lindsay will host Chico at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Valley View romps past Chico
Valley View topped Chico 28-7.
The Eagles will travel to play Blue Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Friday
