ALUMNI NOTEBOOK: Era's Fortenberry starts 15th consecutive game for UNT

DENTON — Aaron Fortenberry started his 15th consecutive game on the offensive line in the University of North Texas’ 14-7 loss to Troy on Saturday in Denton.

The Era High School grad started at Center for the Mean Green as UNT piled up more than 200 yards rushing in the Sun Belt Conference opening loss.

UNT will travel to play Florida Atlantic at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Darcel McBath (Gainesville) played special teams for the San Francisco 49ers in a 24-13 loss to Minnesota.

McBath has one tackle on the season as a back up to safety Donte Witner.

Clay Waters (Collinsville) had a tackle for Southeastern Oklahoma State University in a 56-20 loss to Henderson State on Saturday.

Waters, a freshman defensive end, was an all-district selection for the Pirates last year.

Coby Ragsdale (Collinsville) was held tackleless in Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s loss to Henderson state.

Ragsdale has eight total tackles on the season - good enough for fourth on the team.
