VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Lindsay stays perfect in district play

LINDSAY — Lindsay stayed perfect in District 11-1A with a 25-15, 25-22, 25-16 win over Forestburg on Tuesday.

Nicole Fleitman led the charge for the Lady Knights (23-8, 8-0) with 22 kills, five digs and four blocks. Tara Atkins had 36 assists and Jalyn Anderle had 17 kills.

The win was the eighth consecutive sweep by Lindsay - the Lady Knights haven’t lost a single set in district play.

Lindsay will host Collinsville at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Callisburg sweeps Whitesboro

Callisburg chalked up another win with a 25-21, 25-23, 25-23 sweep of rival Whitesboro.

Amberly Colwell led the No. 15 state-ranked Lady Wildcats with 13 kills and four blocks. Amanda Goode had 19 digs, Kalli Byrom had 26 assists and Sasalie Satterwhite had an ace.

Katelyn Labhart had 13 kills and five aces to lead Whitesboro. Alexus Vanlandingham had 12 assists.
