MUENSTER — Kaitlin Hesse scored 14 points to help lead Sacred Heart past Dallas Lakehill 59-31 in the TAPPS 3A playoffs on Tuesday.
“This was a nice start tonight to the playoffs,” Sacred Heart coach Jon Lebrasseur said. “This is the fun time of the year where all the hard work begins to pay off. I was very pleased with girls effort tonight”
Hesse connected on 6 of 7 shots from the field while grabbing seven rebounds in the Tigerette win.
Sacred Heart next play Rockwall Heritage Christian at 7 p.m. Friday at the Rockwall Indoor Sports Expo.
Karleigh Reeves scored nine points for the Tigerettes. Mckayla Fleitman and Peyton Reiter both had eight points a piece.
Sacred Heart used a 28-6 second quarter and held Lakehill to only two points in the first quarter to take a 42-8 lead into halftime.
Sacred Heart forced 15 steals on the night with Reiter grabbing a team-high five.
