DUBLIN — Sacred Heart’s trip to Dublin didn’t end as sweet as most people’s.

The Tigerettes fell 38-32 to Marble Falls Faith Academy in the TAPPS 3A playoffs in Dublin, the small Texas town known for its pure cane sugar Dr. Peppers, on Tuesday.

“What an effort by the girls,” Sacred Heart coach Jon LeBrasseur said. “They fought and scraped for all they could get last night, only to come up a little short. I’m so proud of the effort. We had a good season.”

Marble Falls Faith Academy used a 17-4 second quarter to lift itself victory over the Tigerettes.

Payton Reiter led Sacred Heart with 10 points. Danielle Berend and Kaitlyn Hesse both added six points while Bailey Walterscheid and Mikayla Bartush had four points a piece.
