FOOTBALL: Late field goal lifts Lindsay past Valley View

VALLEY VIEW — Lindsay’s John Haverkamp connected on a 27-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to give Lindsay a 30-28 win over Valley View on Friday.

Haverkamp’s clutch field goal came only 20 seconds after Valley View scored to take the a 28-27 lead over the vistiting Knights.

Lindsay (6-2, 3-0) took a 27-21 lead over Valley View (4-4, 2-1) in the fourth quarter, allowing the Eagles to have an advantage due to a missed extra point.

Lindsay will travel to play Collinsville at 7:30 p.m. next Friday while Valley View will travel to Trenton.
