FOOTBALL: Run game leads Muenster past McCamey

CLYDE —

Mason Binder and Trevor Hess each ran for two touchdowns as Muenster romped past McCamey 39-12 in a Class 1A Division II area playoff at Bulldog Stadium in Clyde.

 

Hess rushed for 140 yards on 13 carries for the Hornets (9-3), who advanced to face Albany (10-1) in the regional round.

 

McCamey's J.J. Casarez ran for a 99-yard fourth quarter touchdown, finishing with 156 yards on the night. Luke Rebel added a 2-yard scoring run late in the game.

 

Binder finished with 89 yards on five carries while Steven Flusche added 87 yards on 12 caries for Muenster.
