KRUM — David Moore scored 19 points but it wouldn't be enough as first-place Gainesville fell to last-place Krum 66-64 on the road Friday night.
The Leopards saw Krum go on a 17-2 run to close out the third quarter and snatch momentum down the stretch.
Despite a late rally after being down by as many as 10 points, Gainesville would fall to Krum.
Denzel Johnson had 17 points for the Leopards. Demetrius Franklin had 13 points, Johnathan Mendez had 12 and De'Quan Wilford had three.
Tyler Starnes led Krum with 21 points.
Gainesville will host Bridgeport at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The Leopard junior varsity knocked off Krum on Fridya. Devin Mims scored a game-high 17 points while Demarius Farr had 13 points.
Zukari Long scored 16 points in a 59-33 loss for the Leopard freshmen.
