MARTHA JUNELL “JEAN” VOTH

Martha Junell “Jean” Voth, 73, of Gainesville are pending with the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Ms. Voth died April 29, 2008, at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.



JESSIE BEAM

Services for Jessie Beam, 85, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Gray of Gethsemane Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Beam died April 30, 2008, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.

He was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Gainesville to Charles R. and Jewel (Cason) Beam. On Nov. 6, 1944, he married Mozell Branch in Gainesville. He served in the United States Army during world War II and Pearl Harbor. He worked in maintenance at the State School and was a member of Clement Street Missionary Baptist Church (now Gethsemane Baptist).

Survivors include his wife, Mozell Beam of Gainesville; sisters, Laura Canaday, Carrie Robertson and Sue Mitchell, all of Gainesville.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jessie Keith Beam in 1978; five brothers and three sisters.

Pallbearers are Kevin Reeves, Wendol Ross, Jackie Branch, Jerry Schultz, Steve Smith, and Greg Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Ed Lawery and PeeWee Canaday.

Visitation will be at the Clement-Keel Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday.



ERNEST N. MULLER

ROSSTON — Graveside service for Ernest N. Muller, 82, of Rosston is set for 3 p.m. Friday at the Rosston Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Ford, Baptist minister, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Muller died April 29, 2008, at his residence.

He was born June 24, 1925, in Muenster to John and Anna Muller. On Jan. 13, 1943, he married Lenora Kathryn Maughan in Marietta, Okla. He was a member and deacon of the Rosston Baptist Church, member of the Forestburg Masonic Lodge #523, Scottish Rite, V.F.W. and D.V.A.

Survivors include his wife, Lenora Muller of Rosston; daughter, Patricia Muller Bell of Rosston; son, Johnny Ernest Muller of Saint Jo; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathryln Schuler of Fort Worth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; nine brothers; three sisters; two nephews; and one niece.

Visitation will be at the Clement-Keel Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.



JACKIE LEE HICKMAN

IOWA PARK — Jackie Lee Hickman, 79, of Iowa Park passed away April 29, 2008, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008, at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Kay, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Jack was born November 26, 1928, in southern Oklahoma to Cora and Porter Jackson Hickman. He was married to Carolyn Hester of Iowa Park, August 11, 1988 in Wichita Falls.

Jack graduated from high school in Taft, Texas, in 1947. He attended Texas A&I Kingsville and graduated with a B.B.A. from the University of Corpus Christi and a Master of Education from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Jack worked for three major oil companies, retiring in Jacksboro in 1993. He also taught school, coached and was principal of schools for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two daughters, Jackie Roberts and husband, Marshall of Cadiz, Kentucky, and Shirlee Martindale and husband, Danny of Gainesville, Texas; one son, Larry Hickman and wife, Nancy of Flower Mound, Texas; four grandchildren, Chad Martindale and wife, Syndi of Stephenville, Cody Martindale and wife, Kristin of Gruver, and Wesley and Alexis Hickman of Flower Mound; great-granddaughter, Addison Martindale of Stephenville; three sisters, Mary Nash and Martha Olson of Kingsville, Texas, and Corene Kelly of Georgewest, Texas; and one brother, Martin Hickman of Portland, Texas.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park or the charity of your choice.

LEON EUGENE “GENE” PRESCOTT

Leon Eugene “Gene” Prescott, 75, of Tomah, Wis., died Friday, April 25, 2008, at the VA Hospital in Tomah.

He was born on April 29, 1932, to Earl Robert and Dorothy Odetta (Wilhelmsen) Prescott. He graduated from Tomah High School in May of 1950 and pursued a career in the United States Air Force. While serving his country, he rose from the entry-level rank of private to the rank of major. Major Prescott’s military career and his involvement in the security of the United States was recognized and rewarded with numerous medals, citations, awards and honors, including receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross while serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from the United States Air Force on March 31, 1970, and moved back to his hometown of Tomah, Wis. With the help of his wife, Jan, he worked to establish a small business called Easy Mail Tray. Together, they developed, manufactured and sold mail equipment to postal carriers nationwide. While operating this business, he also worked as a rural post carrier. After 20 years with the United States Post Office, he retired from his second career on Oct. 28, 1994. He then sold his small business.

He is survived by his two step-daughters and their spouses, Lana and Bill Boehme of Tomah, Wis., and Nancy and Jim Lyde of Austin; six grandchildren; nine great-granchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jan on Dec. 17, 2002; brothers, Richard Earl and Charles Bernard; and sister, Loretha Marie.

Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Era Memorial Cemetery, in Era.

MACK “BILL” HOUGH

CALLISBURG — Funeral service for Mack “Bill” Hough, 84, is set for 3 p.m. today at Callisburg Church of Christ with Mr. Ben Willingham, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Callisburg Cemetery, under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mr. Hough died on April 28, 2008, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.

He was born April 11, 1924, in Whitesboro to Jessie Elbert and Minnie Blanch (Newsome) Hough. On Nov. 14, 1948, he married Rena Mae Phillips in Gainesville. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as a pumper in oilfield production and was a member of the Callisburg Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Rena Hough of Callisburg; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Dianne Hough of Callisburg; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Michael Lang of Callisburg; five grand- children; and three great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

MARK LAVIMONIERE

WHITESBORO – Mass of Christian Burial for Mark Lavimoniere, 46, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Jeremy Myers officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in Macomb Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Lavimoniere died Monday, April 28, 2008, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

He was born on July 18, 1961, in New Bedford, Mass., to Roland and Georgette (Pelletier) Lavimoniere. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1979 and served almost 10 years with the rank of staff sergeant. He married Deborah Childs on Oct. 5, 1985, in Atwater, Calif. He was currently a fabrication manager for Weber Aircraft in Gainesville. Mark was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Whitesboro. He enjoyed horses and cattle.

Survivors include his wife, Deb Lavimoniere of Whitesboro; daughter, Kelly Georgette Lavimoniere of Whitesboro; his in-laws, Chuck and Phyllis German of Chowchilla, Calif., and Don and Linda Childs of Eastland; brother, Steven Lavioniere of Massachusetts, sisters, Lucy Johnson of Shreveport, La., Susan Wood, Judy Concepcion, Joan Whitlow, Nancy Landry and Diane Corkum, all of Massachusetts; and an uncle and aunt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Georgette Lavimoniere.
