MARY CARLENE SIEGER
Mary Carlene Sieger passed peacefully out of this life into eternal rest on Thursday, July 2, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 6th at the Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Hubert Wright officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. Pallbearers will be Ryan Leeper, Jordan Leeper, Justin Leeper, Stephen Neely, James Neely and Darryl Hale.
Carlene was born in Sadler, Texas on June 23, 1939 to the late Rev. Carl and Thelma (Wylie) Greene. She was the eldest child of eight, with three younger sisters and four younger brothers. She helped care for the little ones and helped with the many chores that a large family required. She especially liked to bake bread and desserts. After graduating from Whitesboro High School she continued her education at Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas, earning both a B.S. and M.S. in Education. During her teaching career, she taught at the High School level at Whitesboro, Nocona, Ganado and Bridgeport, as well at the college level at Wharton Junior College and Howard Payne University. Carlene was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herb and three brothers, Robert, Floyd and Roger Greene. Surviving is a daughter, Mary Ann Leeper of Gainesville; son, Michael Sieger of Fort Worth; grandsons, Ryan and Jordan Leeper of Gainesville, Justin Leeper of Denton and Jacob Sieger of Gainesville; brother Herman Greene and wife Cheri of Gordonville; sisters, Nola Hale and husband Tommy, Hazel Dobson and Husband Earl, both of Whitesboro and Shirley Neely and husband Bobby of Van Alystne. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Home Hospice of Cooke County, PO Box 936, Gainesville TX 76241.

LEWISVILLE — Funeral services for Christopher Ray Logan , 27, of Gainesville were set for Saturday June 27, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Faith Harvest Church with Jeff Long officiating.
Interment was at the Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisvill, under the direction of J. E. Foust & Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Logan passed away on June 27, 2009.
Survivors included his wife Jennifer Logan of Lewisville, his son Collin Logan of Lewisville, His parents, the Rev. Rick Logan and wife Pam of Gainesville, his sister Rachel Logan. His grandparents Jane Leslie of Sanger and the Rev. and Mrs. R. G. Logan of Gainesville, aunts and uncles, Jan Thompson of Justin, Rev. Dennis and Judy King of Gainesville, Rev. Tim and Julie Logan of Jasper, Ga., Nolan and Carla Meade of Sanger, Mark and Peggy Allen of Denton and Ernest and Sally Wallace of Sanger; and six cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Roland Leslie; aunt Kathy Thompson and great grandparents Rev. R.G. Logan Sr., and Lillie Logan.

ROBIN PORTER
Memorial services for Robin Lynn Porter, 45, of Gainesville are set for Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Gainesville, with visitation to follow the service.
Robin was born on Sept. 4, 1963 to James Edward and Juanita Katherine McLaughlin Brown in Phoenix, Ariz. She graduated Western Hills High School in Ft Worth in 1981. She later went on to receive her B.S. from TCU and M.S. from TWU.
Robin was a wonderful mother, sister and wife. She was a professional caterer for the medical community and was Senior Executive for US Food Services for twelve years.
She is survived by her husband Steven D. Porter of Gainesville, son James Hayden Porter of Gainesville, her mother Juanita Brown of Ft. Worth, her father and his wife James and Rhonda Brown of Ft. Worth, mother-in-law Eunice Porter of Lawton, OK, sisters Karen Couch, Tracey Brown, Jayme Crosby all of Ft. Worth, and Cindy Jenkins of Bastrop, brother Chance Brown of Ft. Worth and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers.
Her short life provided many blessings to those who knew her. She will be missed by many.

Funeral services for Welton Dwaine (Slim) Balthrop, 65, of Myra, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosston Cemetery.
Visitation is set for Monday, July 6, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Balthrop died Friday, July 3, 2009, at the North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.
Mr. Balthrop was born on March 8, 1944 in Muenster to Weldon James and Gladys Bell Durham Balthrop.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Holt Balthrop of Myra, daughter Nancy Rogers of Gainesville, son and daughter in law Bobby and Radawn Balthrop of Gainesville, and daughter and son in law Betty and Robert Brumme of Whitesboro, sister and brother in law Sybil and Bud Upchurch of Bisbee, AZ, brother and sister in law James and Billie Balthrop of Myra, sister Anna Kirk of Rosston, brother and sister in law Rodney and Carolyn Balthrop of Rosston, sister and brother in law Sandra and Garland Lehman of Iowa Park, and brother Kenneth Balthrop of Rosston. He is also survived by grand children, Danielle and Miranda Rogers, Travis Baysden, Sarai, Rachel, and Rawlei Balthrop, and Crystal and Joshua Brumme.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry Balthrop, and brothers in law David Kirk and Ray Smith.
Pallbearers are nephews Tracy and Dustin Lehman, Gary, Rick, Jerry, and Jeff Balthrop, Timmy and Jeff Scott, and David Wayne Kirk.
Honorary pallbearers are Wylie Lewis, Jim Sutton, Wesley Booker, Gary Gieb, Lynn McAden, and Bill Winter.
