BARBARA FAYE LUTTMER
Barbara Faye Luttmer, 55, of Glencoe, Okla., died on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, in Glencoe. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007 at Sunnybrook Christian Church with Jim Johnson, Minister, officiating. Interment will be in Glencoe Cemetery Association South. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Nov. 28, 1951, in Stillwater, OK to Earlie A. Thomason and Doris Pauline (Mueller) Thomason. She married Bernard Luttmer on June 14, 1980, in Norman, OK.
She grew up on a ranch northeast of Stillwater, Okla. She graduated from Morrison High School in 1970 and from Oklahoma State University in 1974 with a degree in Family Relations and Child Development. She worked for the OSU Extension office in Hughes and Canadian Counties.
She met her future husband while square dancing, a passtime they both enjoyed. They were married and had one daughter, Alisha, during their 27-year marriage.
She taught school in Morrison as a substitute teacher and worked as a receptionist for H&R Block for 10 years. She was an active member of Sunnybrook Christian Church. She was involved with Bible School, Vacation Bible School, nursery and singing in the choir. She was a member of the Morrison Lions Club and recently been installed as the president of the Morrison American Legion Auxiliary Christie Jones Unit No. 343. She was active in the Oklahoma American Legion Auxillary 8th District as well.
She initiated many community service projects and arranged for numerous speakers at the Morrison Auxillary Unit meetings and events. She was the Americanism chairman at the state level last year and enjoyed reading the thoughts of the youth who competed in the statewide essay contest. She currently served as the Public Relations Chair for the State of Oklahoma for the last three out of four years.
She loved to take photographs and write articles for many newspapers on the local, county and state levels. She loved to travel with her husband. In the last several years they traveled to Germany, went on a Caribbean cruise, visited Disneyland in California, and traveled to Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bernard Luttmer of Glencoe, Okla.; one daughter, Alisha Edwards and her husband Jason A. Edwards, Captain, USAF, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Gary Thomason and his wife Marilyn of Glencoe, OK and Dr. Ron Thomason and his wife Nancy of Ada, Okla.; 18 nieces and nephews; and 33 great nieces and nephews.

MARY N. McNEIL SIMPSON
SHERMAN — Funeral services for Mary McNeil Simpson, 78, of Sherman (formerly of Whitesboro) are set for 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at the Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro under the direction of Huff Funeral Home.
Mrs. Simpson died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
She was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Whitesboro to the late Houston Murphy Watson and Lora Flonné Payne Watson. On March 9, 2007, she married Lewis Simpson in Sherman.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitesboro and a former central office technician with Pacific Northwest Bell. She was a cook and was devoted to her family. She was a member of several local dance clubs.
Survivors include: her husband, Lewis Simpson of Sherman; son, Robert F. McNeil of Littleton, Colo.; brothers, Joe D. Watson of Denison, and Roger M. Watson of Bells; sister, Naomi Chambers of Keller; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; one great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Forrest J. McNeil in 2000; her parents; five brothers, Jack Watson, Charles Watson, Jerry Watson, Leon Watson, and Jimmie Watson; and three sisters, Ruth Guest, Linda Watson and Martha Matthews.
Visitation is planned from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Huff Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
MARISOL CRUZ
Funeral services for Marisol Cruz, 2, of Gainesville are set for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Pat Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.
Ms. Cruz died Oct. 22, 2007, at the family residence.
She was born Oct. 15, 2005, in Gainesville to Francisco Cruz Garcia and Rosalba Lara de Cruz.
Survivors include her parents, grandparents of Tula, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and siblings José, Juan, Pablo, Maria and Ramiro Cruz, all of Gainesville.
A rosary recitation is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

MARION R. HOTT
THACKERVILLE, Okla. — Services for Marion R. Hott, 82, of Thackerville, Okla., are set for 11 a.m. today at the Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville, with the Rev. David Whittington of Woodbine Baptist Church and Murray McMurray of Thackerville Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Hott died Oct. 21, 2007, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Myra to James and Etta (Carter) Hott. In 1954 he married Gladys Pierce in Gainesville.
He was a member of Woodbine Baptist Church and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1922.
Survivors include: wife, Gladys Hott of Thackerville; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Vickie Smith of Thackerville and Phil and Gina Morton of Medford, Ore.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Hott, and two brothers, James Hott and J.D. Hott.
Pallbearers include Randy Pierce, Curtis Pierce, Brian Smith, Michael Knabe, Clint Keith and Tony Keith.
Visitation was Tuesday night at the funeral home.
WILLIE B. WARD
FORT WORTH — Willie B. McCuiston Ward, 87, passed away Oct. 21, 2007, in Georgetown.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Valley View Cemetery in Valley View. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Arlington Funeral Home in Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Willie B. can be made to the Sun City Alzheimer’s support group. Checks should be made payable to Just Friends Inc., designated to the Willie B. Ward Fund, and sent to Cheryl White, 267 Red Poppy Trail, Georgetown, Texas 78633. Willie B was born on Sept. 3, 1920, to Cassie Loy McCuistion and Bessie Mae Sanderson McCuistion in Valley View. She married Jack Audrey Ward, her high school sweetheart, on May 2, 1940, in Valley View.
They lived in Phillips until 1961, when they moved to the Fort Worth/Arlington area. She worked as a secretary to the President of Frank Phillips Community College, served as a bank officer for the First National Bank in Borger and was a bank officer for the North Fort Worth Bank for 29 years. They were enjoying retirement in Sun City in Georgetown at the time of her death.
Willie B. was a tireless worker, a faithful and devoted wife to her husband Jack, and a wonderful and caring mother to her sons. She was preceded in death by her sister Rita May Atkinson in December 2001; and a granddaughter, Tonya Ward.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Billy Carroll Ward of Georgetown; and Dr. Kenneth Loy Ward of Dallas; four grandchildren, Shawn Ward of Dallas; Brad Ward of Bend, Ore.; Monty Ward of Fort Worth; and Audrey Ward of Dallas; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Alexis, and Anniston Ward, all of Bend, Ore. and a brother C.L. “Mac” McCuistion of Forney.
