LOUVEAN DAVIS


COLLINSVILLE — Funeral services for Georgia "Lou" Louvean Davis, 69, are set for 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Scott Sides and Cody Jenkins officiating.

Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville.

A family visitation is set for 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at the funeral home.

Lou passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, Okla.

Georgia was born on Aug. 27, 1942, in Bellevue to Forrest and Beatrice (Ryan) Riddle.

She married Thomas Davis on Dec. 29, 1984, in Gainesville. Georgia was proud of her Cherokee heritage. She was a mother and a grandmother to all and was devoted to her home and family.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Davis of Collinsville; daughters, Loretta Sills and husband Don of Collinsville, Elizabeth Burnett of Burleson, Tina Levernoch and husband Leonard of Gainesville and Radonna Vollmer and husband John of Dallas; sister, Sue Stull and husband George of Jones, Okla.; grandchildren, Cody Jenkins, Lacey Lucas and husband Carl, Darren Jenkins, T.J. Brooks and wife Amberlee, Molly Sills, Carrie Sills, Ashley Brooks, Rachael Vollmer, Jason Hudson and Jack Vollmer; and three great-grandchildren, Kimberlee Brooks, Connor Lucas and Thomas Brooks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Beatrice Riddle; and first husband, Harold Wiest.

THOMAS CALVIN FLOWERS

Funeral services for Thomas Calvin Flowers, 86, of Gainesville, are set for 12 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with David Gray and Ricky King officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military honors, and the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at the funeral home.

Thomas Calvin Flowers Sr. (T.C.) was born on Feb. 19, 1926, in Wynnewood, Okla., to Willie Cornelius Flowers and Addie Mae Calhoun. He later met and married Dorothy Flowers, who proceeded him in death in 1974. From this union they raised eight children, Jerald Overstreet, Margaret Jackson, Margie Byrd, Kathy Sanders, Susan Mack, Thomas Calvin Flowers Jr., Willie Lee Flowers and Evelyn Flowers. He has 17 grandchildren and a great number of great-grandchildren. He leaves behind his brothers, J.C. Flowers Sr., Henry Flowers, and Wilkie Flowers, and his sisters include Margretta Moore, Addie Mae Scott, Bobbie Rushing and Betty Lou Flowers.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Mae Flowers; sister, Hazel Henderson; and by Ben T Flowers and Shaderick Shankton Flowers; and infant son Willie Jr. Flowers.

He was a sergeant in the United States Army and served in the Korean War as a med-tec. Thomas Calvin Flowers retired from Brown Motor Company where he worked for over 20 years.

Pallbearers will be Perry Hubbard, Teddy Flowers, Terry Flowers, Cameron Sanders, Tyrone Baker and Obie Baker.

A reception is set for 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at First United Methodist Church located at 214 S. Denton St. in Gainesville following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First State Bank to the T.C. Flowers Sr. Trust Fund. Overseer is Kathy Sanders.

BETTY JO “PARKER” HANEY

Graveside services for Betty Jo “Parker” Haney, 82, are set for 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at New Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the funeral home.

Betty was the daughter of Floyd Charles and Etta Francis Parker, and was born on Jan. 2, 1931, in Gainesville.

She was married to Leonard Leon Haney, and lived in Callisburg.

She passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012, in a nursing home in Allen.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Parker; and sisters, Helen Cannon, Mary McGilvary, Dorothy Brinkley, Louise Mathews and Peggy Holder.

She is survived by daughter Betty Ann “Haney” Roddy and her husband Earyl Roddy of Allen; son, Bobby Ray Haney and wife Joyce Haney of Caney, Okla., and son Jimmy Leon Haney and wife Alice Haney of Joplin, Mo. Betty is also survived by grandchildren, Timothy Ray Haney, Robert Lee Haney, Daniel Earyl Roddy, Brian Burton Roddy and Katherine Ann Roddy. She has several great-grandchildren, Sierra Haney, Ella Haney, Kelsey Haney, Jessica Haney, Paul Haney, Kali Roddy and Alexander Roddy.

Betty attended school in Gainesville and retired from Texas Instruments in Sherman after 27 years of service.

MARJORIE MAXINE GRAHAM

LAKE KIOWA — Graveside services for Marjorie Maxine Graham, 91, are set for 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville with the Rev. Doyle Henderson officiating.

Mrs. Graham died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Sherman Health Care.

Marjorie was born on May 9, 1920, in Unionville, Mo.

Survivors include children, Russell Butcher of Richardson and Michael Butcher of Whitewright; brother, Ray Powders; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.

JOALINE HENSCHEID

MUENSTER — Funeral services for Joaline Henscheid, 70, of Muenster, are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.

Mrs. Henscheid died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Muenster Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 16, 1941.

Survivors include children, Lonnie Henscheid, Tammy Wimmer, Colynda Henscheid and Tracy Allen; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A rosary and vigil are set for 7 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church

FAIRVIEW — Funeral services for Jack Latham, 82, of Fairview, formerly of Lake Kiowa, are set for 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.L. Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll& Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Latham died Monday, April 9, 2012, in Allen.

He was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Nelda Latham of Fairview; children, Nancy April Jenkins of Fairview and John Ronald Latham of Monument, Colo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

JOYCE MITCHELL

LAKE KIOWA — Funeral services for Joyce Mitchell, 67, of Lake Kiowa, are set for 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Darrell McIntyre officiating.

Mrs. Mitchell died Monday, April 9, 2012, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.

She was born Oct. 3, 1944, in Pampa.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Mitchell of Lake Kiowa; daughter, Pam George of Lake Kiowa; and one grandson.

HARRY ALLEN ROGERS

WHITESBORO — Cremation arrangements for Harry Allen Rogers, 95, of Whitesboro, are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.

Services are set for a later date.

Mr. Rogers died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Denison.

He was born on March 23, 1917, in West Moreland Depot, N.H.

Survivors include children, Nancy Nelson of Whitesboro, Marilyn Wheat of Flat Rock, Mich., and Jon Ramon Rogers of Charlestown, N.H.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

NATHAN SPARKS, SR.

WHITESBORO — Funeral services for Nathan Robert Sparks, Sr., 83, of Whitesboro, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with the Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Collinsville under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.

Mr. Sparks died Monday, April 9, 2012, in Dallas.

He was born Oct. 24, 1928, in Vernon.

Survivors include his wife, Oleta Sparks of Whitesboro; children, Nathan Sparks, Jr. of Crossroads, Russell Sparks of Rowlett, Dianne Dutton of Whitesboro and Todd Sparks of Galveston; sister, Barbra Jean Gall of La Luz, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

ALBERT SCOTT “TED” TAYLOR

McKINNEY — Memorial services for Albert Scott “Ted” Taylor, 78, are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery in Dallas.

Mr. Taylor died Monday, April 9, 2012, at Baybrooke Village Care and Rehabilitation Center of McKinney.

Survivors include his wife, LuRuth Crawford Taylor; children, Mark Taylor, Andrew Taylor, Meredith Overholt, Jamie Smith, Renee Senft, Bryan Lancelot and Jacque Stromnes; siblings, Chesley Taylor and Stuart Massie; and nine grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah, or the school or charity of your choice.
