WILLIAM CLYDE SCOTT

WHITESBORO — Funeral services for William Clyde Scott, 52, are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Mead McGee officiating.

He passed away at his residence on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.

William was born on Oct. 22, 1960, in California to Billy Eutah and Margarett (Vaught) Scott.

He married Dana Lacey on Feb. 14, 2000, in Sanger.  Bill was a unique man who lived a lot in his 52 years.  He was a hard worker who wanted things done right the first time.

He worked hard to provide for his family, even constantly working on the family cars to keep everyone going.  He loved coon hunting, motorcycles, and flirting with pretty women.  He was the toughest man alive and still an anchor and best friend for his wife, Dana.

He was a mentor to their boys.  He was fortunate to know he had true friends.  “It is not the length of life, but the depth of life lived.”  That was Bill; he lived a deep life.  He went before his time and he will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Dana Lacey of Whitesboro; children, Steven Scott of Tioga, Dustin Morgan of Plano, Sgt. Thomas Blane Morgan of Hawaii, Kody Morgan of Whitesboro, Garret Harris of Texas, Amy Scott of Tioga and Summer Cox of Justin; his mother, Margaret Clark of Whitesboro; his siblings, Jesse Scott of Ramona, Calif., Eugene Clark of Marietta, Okla., Wynoth Renee Fischer of Sanger and Eluzabeth Clark of Whitesboro; and grandchildren, Abigail Jade Scott, McKinsey Dawn Moncrief and Graham Carver.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Eutah Scott; sister, Mendue Jeannece Clark; and grandparents, James Vaught and Mendie Waldrop.
