MILDRED M. COX
Services for Mildred M. Cox, 77, of Gainesville are set for 3 p.m. Thursday at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville with Rev. Luke Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Collinsville under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mrs. Cox died June 6, 2006, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
She was born May 1, 1929, in Collinsville to Almon and Blanche Baker Baxter. On May 27, 1946, she married George C. Cox in Sherman. She graduated from Collinsville High School in 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, George A. and Barbara Cox of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Lou and Tom Bartlett of Piedmont, Okla., Teena and David Cummins of Gainesville, Treena Stelding of Gainesville; daughter-in-law, Barbara Cox of Collinsville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one cousin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Cox on Feb. 19, 2004; son, William Carroll Cox; brother, Wayne Baxter; and two granddaughters.
Pallbearers are Bill Haley, Brett Gunter, John Knight, Don Cox, Ricky Hott and Gene Allen Robert.
Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.

ROBERT M. “BOB” DAY
Services for Robert M. “Bob” Day, 59, of Gainesville are set for 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Mark Denison officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mr. Day died June 5, 2006, at his residence.
He was born March 12, 1947, in Gainesville to Herman M. and Nadine Ballew Day. On May 16, 1970, he married Mary Vaughn in Abilene. He graduated from Gainesville High School and earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Hardin Simmons University. He was a retired auto mechanics instructor at North Central Texas College. Bob was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary Club and was past president of the Fort Stockton Rotary Club. He was involved in the DASH program for many years. He was a former board president and board member of Pecos County Hospital; board member of Cooke County Friends of the Family and board member of North Texas Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Day of Gainesville; siblings, Gloria Parrish of Gainesville and Linda Davis of Clovis, Calif.; and mother-in-law, Maxcine Vaughn; numerous cousins; one niece; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Nadine Day.
Pallbearers are Robert Voth, Jim Ailey, James Ray Polk, Wally Cullum, Doug Lillard and Richard Doarn.
Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

NICK ALLEN MORRIS
Services for Nick Allen Morris, 44, of Gainesville were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Clement-Keel Chapel with Jon Wilson of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mr. Morris died June 3, 2006, at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.
He was born July 7, 1961, in Dumas to Delbert and Linda (Whitfield) Morris. On May 3, 1983, he married Lucie Schlegl in Gainesville. He was a self-employed contractor. He was a Jehovah’s Witness and had worked in the oil fields and at the dairy in Alvarado.
Survivors include his wife, Lucie Morris of Gainesville; son, Rocky Morris of Gainesville; daughter, Bambi Morris of Gainesville; mother, Linda Woods of Whitesboro; father, Delbert Morris of Amarillo; brother, Wayne Morris of Gainesville; and sisters, Missy Mitchusson of Whitesboro, Sarah Mitchusson of Gainesville, and Belinda Mitchusson of Gainesville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, L.L. and Bertha Whitfield.
Pallbearers were Werner Schaeferling, Audie Jackson, Mark Kerr, Garland Summers, Shane Mauldin, and Wayne Morris.
